Avid Helps France's TF1 Network Delivers Cutting-edge Graphics

TF1, one of France’s major television networks, needed to overhaul its on-air graphics workflow after experiencing reliability problems, limited flexibility, obsolete hardware, and an inability to support HD and multi-feed broadcasting. The network chose Avid Technology’s enterprise graphics solution, including Avid HDVG platforms and Avid 3DPlay software, to meet its broadcast and production needs.

Avid Technology implemented a new graphics system with redundant HDVG platforms, operator workstations, preview capabilities, and bidirectional automation for better integration with TF1’s other systems. The solution went live after an 18-month project and a short stabilization period, delivering immediate gains in reliability, user-friendliness, and flexibility, while eliminating operating errors and enabling faster in-house creation of dynamic graphics for promotions and live advertising content.
