Avid Graphics Enhance TV3 Election Coverage

TV3, the flagship channel of Televisió de Catalunya, needed a way to make its 2015 election coverage more dynamic without losing its focus on accurate, informative reporting. Working with Avid Technology, TV3 used the Avid Graphics suite, including ProSet, RealSet 3D, Xync, HDVG+, along with Avid Media Composer and Pro Tools, to support its ambitious virtual-studio election format.

Avid Technology helped TV3 deliver real-time augmented-reality graphics, interactive maps, and live-rendered parliamentary visuals that updated as votes were counted. The broadcast featured seat-by-seat results, virtual politicians, and multiple on-air graphic formats, helping TV3 produce standout election coverage that won the ratings battle in Catalonia and earned a nomination for the European TVB Awards.
