Avid Everywhere Empowers Students at Helsinki’s Stadin Ammattiopisto to Embark on Successful Audio Careers

Helsinki’s Stadin Ammattiopisto, one of Finland’s largest vocational education providers, needed a scalable, agile audio setup for multiple new studios and varied workflows such as film music and game audio. The school wanted to better mirror real-world production environments for its 9,000 students, so it turned to Avid Technology and Avid Everywhere, including Avid Pro Tools and the Avid Artist Suite.

Avid Technology helped Stadin Ammattiopisto network the entire school on the Avid MediaCentral platform and implement Avid S6 consoles with Avid ISIS | 5500 shared storage. The new workflow created centralized storage, smoother collaboration, and a more flexible nonlinear setup, while also saving time in production and helping students focus more on listening and creativity; teachers said the system was intuitive, highly customizable, and closely aligned with industry practice.
