Avid Creative Tools Maximize Sound Mixing for Mosfilm Russia

Mosfilm, a leading Russian film studio, needed to upgrade its audio production capabilities to keep pace with changing workflows and the demands of a diverse customer base. Working with Avid Technology and reseller Sfera-Video, the studio set out to rebuild its Dolby 5.1 mixing stage to support native Dolby Atmos, faster collaboration, and more flexible sound production using Avid tools such as Pro Tools | HD, Pro Tools | S6, and Pro Tools | HDX.

Avid Technology implemented a new workflow built around Pro Tools | HD, five Pro Tools | S6 consoles, and Pro Tools | HDX hardware, giving Mosfilm the power to handle complex projects across multiple rooms and operators. The upgrade delivered faster, easier collaboration and greater flexibility, and Mosfilm said it achieved the best sound studio installation in Russia and possibly Eastern Europe, with support for dozens of audio sources, hundreds of tracks, and thousands of clips.
