Washington University in St. Louis needed to expand its graduate and undergraduate teaching facilities with a large-scale, 50+ room technology project that could support a variety of platforms. The biggest obstacles were a very tight timeline and the need to continue using the existing control room in the Charles Knight Executive Education Center, which was still running an analog system and planned for future digital conversion.

AVI Systems delivered a fiber-based solution built around the RGB Spectrum 320 x 320 fiber switching headend, with AMX used to control and route all audio and video signals across the rooms.
