St. Luke’s Hospital, part of Saint Luke’s Health System, needed a more effective digital signage platform across its multi-location healthcare enterprise. AVI Systems stepped in after the new signage deployment struggled with inconsistent software across sites and compatibility issues with existing displays and player hardware, limiting its ability to support wayfinding, menu boards, bulletin boards, and specialty messaging.

AVI Systems upgraded the signage management and player software to a Scala premise-based platform, then expanded the system to additional hospitals and the corporate office with office directories, marketing displays, interactive directories, and cafeteria menu boards. At the flagship Kansas City hospital, AVI added custom integration for meal planning content, nutritional details, pricing, and photos, while also building in future scalability for cable TV headends, donation kiosks, and departmental messaging. The result was a more unified, flexible enterprise signage network supported by ongoing training, though no specific quantitative impact was provided.
