With Cisco’s CMR Cloud, Moffitt Connects Thousands of Doctors, Researchers and Staff from Locations around the World

Moffitt Cancer Center, a leading cancer research and healthcare organization in Tampa, needed a simpler, more reliable way to connect 4,500 doctors, researchers, and staff across multiple campuses, affiliates, and global partners. With a mix of nine telephony systems and aging collaboration infrastructure, the organization turned to AVI-SPL and Cisco Collaboration Meeting Rooms Cloud (CMR Cloud) to reduce technical issues and make collaboration easier for users across the enterprise.

AVI-SPL integrated Cisco CMR Cloud with Moffitt’s existing Cisco telephony and collaboration tools, including WebEx, Spark, and VBrick Rev, to create a unified workflow across desktops, boardrooms, and mobile devices. The result was a faster, easier collaboration experience that reduced IT support burden, enabled high-quality video interviews, supported up to 1,200 participants in a single WebEx event, and cut event setup time from about an hour to just 10 minutes.
