Washington State University's College of Veterinary Medicine needed to modernize its outdated and inconvenient simulation lab to better mirror real-world veterinary practice. The university partnered with AVI-SPL to implement an AV-over-IP monitoring and recording system utilizing Shure microphones and VALT software, aiming to create a user-friendly space for students to practice and review procedures.
AVI-SPL designed and deployed a comprehensive solution with strategically placed cameras and microphones that capture audio, video, and vitals, transmitting them over IP to the VALT system. This allows instructors to monitor simulations in real time, tag key moments for review, and conduct debriefs. The system provides flexible, centralized access for review from any location, giving students a realistic and immersive training environment to confidently grow their technical knowledge and skills.
