A AVI-SPL Case Study
RMIT University, a top global institution, faced a challenge in proactively managing its vast and diverse audiovisual and collaboration technology estate across multiple international campuses. Relying on manual checks and limited monitoring led to classroom disruptions and inefficient support. To overcome this, RMIT partnered with AVI-SPL to implement its Symphony User Experience Management platform.
The AVI-SPL Symphony solution provided a single-pane, cloud-based view to monitor over 4,600 devices across 1,000+ rooms. This enabled proactive issue resolution, averting a major network crisis on its first day of use and preventing classroom disruptions. The implementation resulted in a lower mean time to resolution (MTTR), a shift from client-initiated to auto-detected tickets, and the resolution of longstanding quality issues for international video conferencing, significantly improving the teaching and learning experience.
