AVI-SPL worked with Oriole Park at Camden Yards, the Baltimore sports venue that had relied on an original sound system designed by AVI-SPL when the stadium opened in 1992. In late 2008, the customer asked AVI-SPL to improve the system by converting it from analog to digital while keeping operations simple and user-friendly.

AVI-SPL implemented a digital audio network that distributes sound throughout the 50,000-seat stadium, using the venue’s existing data infrastructure to reduce signal loss and improve reliability and control. The upgrade also added remote monitoring and control of every amplifier channel, and System Architect by Harman helped streamline system operation, resulting in easier management and better sound quality.
