OdySea Aquarium, one of the largest aquariums in the United States, sought to create a powerful "wow moment" for guests upon entry by transforming its lobby into a fully immersive underwater experience. They partnered with AVI-SPL to implement an advanced AV solution to achieve this, aiming to make visitors feel like they were stepping directly into the ocean.

AVI-SPL installed a comprehensive system featuring 12 Christie laser projectors, a Q-SYS audio control system, and Christie Pandoras Box software to create a 360-degree, floor-to-ceiling projection experience. The solution delivered over 280,000 lumens of brightness to display animated marine life scenes across the challenging, curved space. The result was a one-of-a-kind lobby that captivates visitors, causing them to pause and take in the environment, successfully building excitement for the aquarium experience ahead and fulfilling the client's vision for total immersion.
