L.A. County Improves Its Emergency Response Capabilities

The Los Angeles County Fire Department turned to AVI-SPL to replace outdated dispatch technology and improve coordination across its large, 24/7 emergency operations. The department needed a more efficient, interoperable AV setup with room for future growth so staff could share critical information faster across the Fire Command and Control Facility and nearby meeting rooms.

AVI-SPL implemented a Planar video wall with RGB Spectrum media wall processing, Sharp LCD displays, Contemporary Research HD TV tuners, and AMX control to create a centralized visual communication system. The result was faster access to up-to-the-minute information, improved decision-making during crises, and the ability for dispatch, DOC, and ECC teams to share resources and respond more effectively during major incidents like the Station Fire.
