Northern Trust, a global bank, was updating its Chicago headquarters for its 125th anniversary and wanted the space to serve as both an impressive client-facing showpiece and a better collaboration environment for employees. Working with AVI-SPL, the company needed modern AV and control systems that would be easy to use, support meetings and presentations, and reflect its technology-forward image.

AVI-SPL designed and integrated a full AV environment featuring Crestron control systems, Crestron DigitalMedia signal distribution, video walls, digital signage, matrix switchers, audio reinforcement, and room scheduling/control across the conference center and breakout rooms. The result was a highly automated, flexible space that lets Northern Trust staff send signals from any room to any display, supports divisible meeting rooms and video conferencing, and helps the company impress clients; the upgraded headquarters was completed in time for the anniversary celebration.
