Florida International University’s School of International and Public Affairs needed a high-tech auditorium and classroom environment ready before opening, but had less than three months to design and install it. AVI-SPL was brought in to meet the deadline while also working around the building’s sharp-angled architecture and the need for overflow, distance learning, and multilingual presentation support.
AVI-SPL implemented an integrated AV and collaboration solution featuring Polycom video conferencing, Crestron control systems, Samsung LCD displays, Panasonic cameras and projectors, a Stewart Filmscreen projection screen, and Vaddio floor-mat-based automation. The result was a 300-plus-seat auditorium, adjacent classrooms, and conference spaces with HD video, sound reinforcement, a 16-screen video wall, two-way audio/video, and centralized control that improved presentations, broadcasting, and interactive learning.
