The Florida Department of Transportation, District 6, needed a better way to respond early and accurately to traffic incidents and congestion at its SunGuide Traffic Management Center in Miami. AVI-SPL supported the agency with an integrated operations environment designed to help staff manage traffic conditions around the clock.

AVI-SPL implemented a 31-by-10-foot Barco cube video wall, along with digital signage, voice/data communications, and CCTV, giving operators a clear, ergonomic view of more than 40 live video sources at once. The solution improved situational awareness, supported control of cameras and dynamic message signs, and helped FDOT dispatch Road Rangers more efficiently, while also accommodating future expansion plans for the district office.
