First Baptist Oviedo wanted to modernize its worship services with clearer sound, stronger video, and improved lighting, while keeping the system easy for a large volunteer staff to operate and staying within budget. To meet those goals, AVI-SPL was brought in to design and integrate a professional AV environment for the church’s main sanctuary and production spaces.

AVI-SPL implemented fiber cabling, Sony cameras, Christie projectors, Crestron control, a DigiDesign digital mixing console, and a Panasonic video switcher, along with new display, playback, and intercom systems. The result was a high-definition, easy-to-use production setup that dramatically improved speech clarity and worship presentation quality, with the congregation reported at about 4,000 across two services and feedback described as wonderful.
