First Baptist Orlando, a 4,800-seat house of worship in Orlando, FL, needed a major AV renovation as its existing sound system had degraded and could no longer deliver clear, even audio across the sanctuary and narthex. The church wanted every guest to hear productions equally, including performances involving two choirs and a full orchestra, so it turned to AVI-SPL for an upgraded audio and control solution.

AVI-SPL designed and integrated a customized system that included JBL ceiling speakers, subwoofers, BSS London audio processing, Shure in-ear monitoring, Cisco switches, intercom, and broadcast capabilities for streaming and recording. The result was consistent, high-quality sound throughout the venue and simpler production workflows, helping First Baptist Orlando handle any level of production and win the 2015 Solomon Award for Best Renovation of a 2000+ Seat room.
