AVI-SPL worked with the Douglas M. Anderson Emergency Operations Center in St. Lucie County, FL, after back-to-back hurricanes exposed problems with cramped space and unreliable power and water during critical response times. The county needed a more advanced emergency operations environment to improve communications and make information easier to access.
AVI-SPL implemented a multifaceted AV and control solution featuring wall-mounted electric screens, Sharp LCD displays, Panasonic projectors, Shure microphones, Crestron touch panels, and integrated camera feeds for the media briefing room and outdoor press area. The upgraded 27,282-square-foot EOC now supports faster, more flexible emergency communications, including matrixed displays, split-screen viewing of multiple information sources, and quick data sharing from staff laptops.
