Cranbrook Schools - Customer Case Study

Cranbrook Schools, a K-12 private school in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, wanted to enhance teaching and improve communication in its new Kingswood Middle School for Girls. To do that, the school needed interactive classroom technology and lobby signage that could be integrated cleanly into the building while meeting safety and architectural requirements. AVI-SPL helped plan the AV integration with the architect, construction team, and school staff, using SMART boards and Cisco digital signage.

AVI-SPL installed 25 wall-mounted SMART boards in classrooms and common areas, along with Cisco digital signage in the lobby, and integrated Extron control so teachers could easily power projectors and switch sources. The solution overcame mounting and wiring challenges, supported more interactive lessons, and gave Cranbrook a flexible communications platform for announcements and visitor information. The school was later named a SMART Showcase School of the Year, reflecting the success of the AVI-SPL implementation.
