Atlantis, The Palm transforms Lost World Aquarium with 60 projectors and 140 speakers from AVI-SPL

The Lost World Aquarium at Atlantis, The Palm sought to transform its calm marine exhibit into a more immersive and story-led environment to meet growing visitor expectations. They partnered with AVI-SPL and its Experience Technology Group (XTG) to design a new interactive experience that would seamlessly blend technology with marine life and compelling video content.

AVI-SPL implemented an extensive audiovisual ecosystem featuring Epson projectors, Philips dvLED screens, Q-SYS and Crestron control systems, spatial audio, and over 25 interactive kiosks. The solution included projection mapping and a handheld Trident that triggers media, lighting, and sound. The result was a captivating 360-degree interactive experience that immerses visitors of all ages in a fantasy-driven environment. Feedback from the customer was overwhelmingly positive, with AVI-SPL delivering the project on time and matching the intended design renders exactly despite the scale and complexity.
