A Premier School Trains Using Advanced Visualization

Ringling College of Art and Design, a leading visual arts school in Sarasota, FL, needed simple-to-use, state-of-the-art AV systems for its new LEED Silver-certified academic building. The college wanted to support high-definition sound and video across 30 classrooms and a 200-seat auditorium, while making the technology easy for both instructors and students. AVI-SPL was selected to provide the integration services and design expertise for the project.

AVI-SPL implemented a campus-wide solution featuring BenQ WXGA projectors, Extron multi-window processing, HD display systems, Crestron control, Da-Lite screens, and custom audio and presentation setups for classrooms, the auditorium, and gallery spaces. The result was a fully integrated learning environment with more than 30 projection systems and a state-of-the-art auditorium, all tied into lighting, shades, and AV management for better usability and energy savings.
