EBSCO Automates Multicloud Application Strategy with Avi Networks and OpenStack

EBSCO Information Services, a large global division of EBSCO Industries, needed a way to automate and scale application delivery in its OpenStack environment while giving developers self-service access to load balancing and better tenant isolation. The existing appliance-based approach could not keep up with EBSCO’s cloud-first, high-volume needs, including support for millions of daily transactions. Avi Networks and the Avi Vantage Platform were selected to address these challenges.

Avi Networks implemented a software-defined load balancing solution with native OpenStack integration, self-service automation, analytics, and autoscaling. With Avi Networks, EBSCO sped up application rollouts, reduced troubleshooting time, and enabled teams to provision resources on demand without overprovisioning server capacity, helping support up to 4.5 million transactions per day while preparing for future multicloud expansion.
