A AVEVA Case Study
The Palace of Versailles, a 700,000+ sq ft historic estate attracting over 7.5 million visitors annually, struggled with disparate hardware and software, siloed data in multiple formats, and a non‑scalable management system that prevented real‑time visibility and efficient maintenance. To centralize operations without interrupting the site, the Palace engaged AVEVA and deployed System Platform together with InTouch Edge HMI and Historian Clients.
AVEVA’s System Platform (with InTouch Edge HMI and Historian Clients), implemented by integrator Basis Automation across redundant servers and secure network hubs, unified visualization, data collection and storage into a single, scalable architecture. The solution shortened maintenance response times, improved system and data integration, reduced development and operational costs, enabled hot server redundancy and real‑time reporting, and supported measurable energy‑use optimization—delivering a secure, centralized operations platform for the Palace of Versailles that AVEVA continues to support.
