The Venetian and Palazzo Resort Hotels and Casino, the world’s largest hotel and resort covering 67 acres and about 14 million square feet, faced the critical challenge of guaranteeing uninterrupted power across 66 substations and 62 PLCs to protect guest experience, revenue, and sustainability goals. To address this, they engaged AVEVA to provide a real‑time facilities and power management solution, deploying AVEVA InTouch HMI and AVEVA Historian as part of a centralized monitoring and redundancy strategy.

AVEVA’s solution enabled centralized, real‑time monitoring, automatic redundancy and load shedding, and standby generator supervision so operators can proactively troubleshoot and correct faults—often remotely—avoiding costly site visits. The AVEVA system helped ensure 24/7/365 power availability, supported LEED sustainability objectives, reduced staff travel and response time, and delivered measurable efficiency and cost savings by spotting issues before downtime and optimizing power allocation as the resort expanded.
