St Powder Coatings Spa, a maker of highly customized thermosetting powder coatings in Montecchio Maggiore, Italy, needed to rapidly ramp a new, modern plant and reliably fulfill thousands of unique color orders daily while integrating plant systems with ERP. To meet that challenge they selected AVEVA, deploying the Wonderware Production and Performance Management solution (Industrial Application Server, IndustrialSQL Server, ActiveFactory, InTouch and SCADAlarm) to provide tight plant-to-ERP integration and fast, repeatable production control.

AVEVA implemented an object-based Wonderware system that was online within four months, supported by integrator AUTOWARE, enabling recipe-driven production of thousands of variants and much faster fault diagnosis (hours instead of days).
