Preview of the Seminole County Case Study

Seminole County Water Division relies on AVEVA SmartGlance Mobile Reports to ensure the safety of drinking water for more than 440,000 residents in central Florida

Seminole County Water Division engaged AVEVA to solve a mobility and monitoring gap in its operations: with responsibility for producing more than 46 million gallons of drinking water daily for over 440,000 residents, the County needed field operators to access historian data and receive timely alerts without keeping someone at a SCADA desk 24/7. AVEVA SmartGlance Mobile Reports was chosen to provide mobile process management and real-time access to critical plant data.

AVEVA implemented SmartGlance Mobile Reports (including MyAlerts and historian/SQL integration) to deliver real-time dashboards and push notifications to smartphones, tablets and wearables. As a result, operators now get answers in minutes instead of ~30 minutes, can manage 10 facilities remotely, receive proactive alerts before alarms occur, and avoid unnecessary plant visits—improving response times and protecting the County’s 46 million gallons/day supply for 440,000 residents.
