Lassila and Tikanoja, a recycled wood‑fuel producer in Kerava, faced frequent production downtime and maintenance inefficiencies caused by wood dust, varied equipment from multiple manufacturers, and a lack of automated plant‑level data for scheduling and troubleshooting. To address these challenges they standardized factory operations on AVEVA software, deploying System Platform, Historian, Historian Client and Information Server® to integrate diverse control systems and capture usable process data.

AVEVA implemented a unified “plant model” and automated data collection using its System Platform and Historian suite, enabling operators to pinpoint bottlenecks, reschedule side works, and prioritize maintenance with clear metrics.
