Naples’ primary water management service provider implements AVEVA-powered remote control system to provide 1.5 million customers with clean water daily

Gori, the primary water management provider for Naples serving about 1.5 million people across 76 municipalities, faced a fragmented, hard-to-operate legacy platform and the growing challenge of remotely managing hundreds of distributed water, sewage, and treatment sites. To gain agility and reduce energy and water waste, Gori engaged AVEVA and implemented an AVEVA-powered remote control SCADA solution using System Platform, Access Anywhere, Historian and Automation Objects.

AVEVA delivered a centralized remote-control system able to operate up to 500 plants across a 900 km² territory, improving field and plant operator access and simplifying multi-municipality management. The deployment produced measurable results: at Gori’s Mercato Palazzo plant energy consumption fell by 45%, saving roughly €80,000 per month, and drove broader efficiency and sustainability gains across Gori’s operations.
