A AVEVA Case Study
Mitsui, the Tokyo-based shipbuilding and multidisciplinary engineering company, was constrained by ageing 3D CAD systems that could not convert scanned data into integrated 3D models, forced teams to use multiple disconnected tools, and created rework and capacity limits. To modernize its design process and improve quality and staff onboarding, Mitsui engaged AVEVA and adopted the AVEVA Marine suite (including Hull & Outfitting, Schematics, E3D Insight and Engage).
AVEVA delivered an integrated AVEVA Marine solution that unified modelling, information management and workflows, enabling seamless import and manipulation of 3D models and faster collaboration across disciplines. The AVEVA implementation cut design lead time by 30%, minimized duplication, streamlined project delivery, improved productivity and training for new designers, and has been rolled out across Mitsui’s facilities and extended into plant/pipe factory workflows.
