A AVEVA Case Study
Ølgod Tekniske Værker, a Danish water utility serving about 2,050 consumers across roughly 150 km of ring-connected pipeline, faced limited visibility into pressure, retention time and flow direction, which made scaling and optimizing the network difficult. To avoid costly physical meter wells (around €7,000 each) and gain comprehensive operational insight, Ølgod selected Aquis Water Network Management from AVEVA.
AVEVA implemented Aquis Water Network Management using hydraulic modeling fed by SCADA data and consumer meters to provide accurate, timely information on pressure, flow and direction. As a result, Ølgod can prioritize corrective actions, trace contamination sources and notify affected consumers by SMS, plan maintenance and expansion more economically, and maintain high service levels—supporting a 150 km network with 2,050 consumers, 4% non‑revenue water and annual production of about 420,000 m3—while avoiding multiple expensive meter wells.
