Integrated AVEVA Marine applications saved many design hours for GHENOVA Ingenieria, and allowed for efficient and accurate model delivery

GHENOVA Ingenieria, an international multidisciplinary marine engineering firm based in Seville and Ferrol, faced a depressed shipping market and the need to win complex offshore and naval contracts in Latin America. Engineers and designers across multiple sites could not work concurrently on a single model, so GHENOVA selected AVEVA and its AVEVA Marine suite to provide a 3D engineering and design platform for large projects such as the eight LPG tankers for Petrobras.

AVEVA implemented an integrated solution using AVEVA Hull, AVEVA Outfitting, AVEVA Cable Design and AVEVA Global, enabling collaborative multi-site work and an Integrated Engineering & Design approach. The result, according to GHENOVA, was many saved design hours, a much shorter design phase and consistent delivery of accurate models to customers—contributing to successful project delivery, growth in the Latin American market and continued European partnerships with AVEVA technology.
