Debswana Diamond Mining Co. Ltd. needed to replace slow, manual spreadsheet reporting at Plant No.1 with real-time, ISA-95–standardized production and performance information. Facing a six‑month deadline, a tight budget and the need to modify existing IT infrastructure, Debswana sought a scalable solution to reduce manual data capture, improve KPI accuracy (carats and tonnage), and make plant and historical data broadly accessible across the business.

AVEVA delivered an ArchestrA System Platform deployment (Galaxy repository and redundant AOS servers) together with Wonderware Information Server and Wonderware Historian to automate data retrieval, publish nine real‑time WIS reports and host a central intranet dashboard. The AVEVA solution produced ISA‑95‑compliant data, continuous real‑time reporting available to more users (replacing daily emailed spreadsheets), reduced manual entry, consolidated plant information, and made over a year of historical data available—improving KPI tracking and resource allocation within the project timeline.
