BP Norway implements AVEVA’s asset life cycle information management solution for more efficient asset operations

BP Norway faced operational friction from low-quality, non‑standardized technical information and needed auditable change management and compliance with its global Upstream Master Class Library (UMCL) standards. To address this, BP Norway implemented AVEVA’s asset life cycle information management solution—building an Operations Information Hub (OIH) on AVEVA software and using products such as AVEVA NET, Change Manager and AVEVA NET Gatekeeper to centralize and control technical data.

AVEVA’s solution gave employees and contractors transparent access to the latest, verified revisions and enforced UMCL standards across assets (Skarv, Ula, Tambar and work on Valhall), automatically rejecting incorrect supplier submissions and prompting corrections. The OIH reduced work‑order costs, assured engineering information integrity, simplified regulatory compliance and is expected to deliver further efficiency and cost savings as AVEVA‑enabled interfaces to suppliers are rolled out.
