AVEVA solutions allow India’s Damador Valley Corporation to digitise, reduce downtime, and streamline all processes into an easy-to-use format

Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC), an integrated power major in eastern India, faced costly unplanned shutdowns and a lack of digital information, version control, and failure histories across its operating plants. To build a digital asset and enable capture of historical leak/failure data for risk assessment, DVC engaged AVEVA and implemented AVEVA PDMS and AVEVA NET as the core engineering and information‑management tools.

AVEVA created 3D as‑built models and a centralized, object‑centric information hub that collates data from multiple source and third‑party systems, enabling remote access and a rapid‑build digital library. The AVEVA deployment improved project efficiency and operational control, accelerated substation modelling and document retrieval, enabled 3D boiler mapping and failure‑history tracking, and helped reduce unplanned downtime by giving engineers quick, trustworthy access to plant information.
