AVEVA software ensures patient comfort, security and energy efficiency at the New Hospital of Orléans, the largest hospital in the Loiret region of France

New Hospital of Orléans, the 1,300‑bed public hospital serving France’s Loiret region, needed a building management system to ensure patient comfort, safety and strict energy/HQE environmental targets while reducing operational costs. The hospital required a multiprotocol, ergonomic supervisory solution able to handle up to 80,000 data points and guarantee near‑real‑time responses (within a 5‑second window). AVEVA was chosen, with System Platform, InTouch and Historian specified to meet these requirements.

AVEVA implemented System Platform with InTouch HMIs and AVEVA Historian to deliver a unified, scalable BMS that aggregates real‑time data, alarms and reports across the campus. The deployment enabled staff to manage roughly 1,500 alarm points and 10,000 technical points, ensured traceable reporting for 80,000 data points, improved response times to within the 5‑second target, and reduced energy and maintenance costs through better monitoring and diagnostics.
