Chantier Davie, Canada’s oldest and largest shipbuilder, faced a tight 24‑month deadline to convert a container ship for the Canadian Navy while struggling with decentralized schedule and material data spread across home‑grown systems, Excel and Access databases. To increase traceability, consolidate methods and meet design deadlines, Davie selected AVEVA and deployed AVEVA ERM, AVEVA Marine and AVEVA Global to modernize its planning, materials and design toolset.

AVEVA’s integrated ERM, Marine and Global solutions enabled concurrent multi‑location design work, consolidated planning and materials management, and provided clear visibility of material status (including a traffic‑light system) before job release.
