AVEVA Bocad allowed Adani Transmission Limited to create better designs for the hundreds of difficult-to-construct towers they needed

Adani Transmission, part of the Adani Group, needed to design and build hundreds of high‑voltage transmission towers across multiple projects with virtually no margin for error. Their goals were to minimise structural stress during construction, reduce the need for patches and braces, and avoid re‑fabrication. To refine and validate their tower designs they used AVEVA Bocad from AVEVA.

Using AVEVA Bocad, AVEVA enabled Adani Transmission to produce accurate 3D models, visualise and rotate connection details, and adopt eccentric connectors and optimized secondary members to reduce patches, braces and structural stress. The result was easier on‑site construction, drawings produced up to 40% faster and production precision to 0.5 mm, cutting waste and re‑fabrication across the hundreds of towers.
