Det Norske, preparing to develop the Ivar Aasen field as its first large field project, needed to upgrade IT and business systems to manage lifecycle information and avoid the risks of a traditional event‑driven handover. With advice from VisioNova, Det Norske adopted AVEVA technology—including the Progressive Handover solution, Digital Information Hub and AVEVA NET—to create a Digital Asset and enable staged, validated information flow for operational readiness.

AVEVA implemented a progressive handover process and automated validation so EPC submissions were checked against contractual standards and fed incrementally into operations, providing metrics on information completeness.
