TMF Netherlands BV Strengthens Its Microsoft SharePoint Data Protection Capabilities With DocAve®

TMF Netherlands BV, part of TMF Group, supports about 3,500 users across 86 offices in 65 countries and built a company-wide intranet on Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. Running a small MOSS environment, administrators found SharePoint’s native backup and restore capabilities unreliable and unable to meet internal SLAs for granular, metadata-preserving recovery and flexible scheduling.

TMF deployed DocAve Backup and Restore to enable granular, full-fidelity restores directly to production (using the Time Restore Controller), and to schedule multiple backup plans by data criticality (including daily incrementals and weekly/full backups for intranet and My Sites). The solution delivered fast, downtime-free recoveries, preserved metadata, provided email job notifications for remote monitoring, and saved the company time and resources while meeting its data protection requirements.
