A AvePoint Case Study
Thurston County, Washington — home to Olympia and roughly 260,000 residents — relied on a static website managed by a small team of web specialists, which created bottlenecks and hundreds of hours of back-and-forth each year. Even after adopting SharePoint as its CMS, content owners remained unable to publish directly, so updates to 4,000 webpages and requests from 1,100 users still depended heavily on IT.
The county deployed a paired “author” and public site architecture in SharePoint and used AvePoint’s DocAve Replicator to automatically synchronize approved changes to the live site. This let nontechnical content owners edit pages with minimal training and publish updates in real time or via approval workflows, greatly reducing IT tickets, speeding publishing, and saving hundreds of hours annually.
