The Jane Goodall Institute, a global conservation and research organization, needed to modernize its IT to better support worldwide operations and preserve decades of scientific assets. After deciding to move from Google Docs/Gmail to a unified Microsoft platform, the Institute selected AvePoint to help migrate and protect large archives—planning ultimately to move a 30 TB primate database and improve global communications across 40 offices.
AvePoint conducted a content assessment, mapped appropriate Office 365 and Azure tools, and ran a 50-user pilot using Elements Fly, migrating roughly 333 GB of mail and documents in two weeks. The engagement produced a clear roadmap (including Dynamics 365 accounting and rollout of Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint), established a scalable platform for global rollout, and delivered immediate efficiency gains with 200 users planned for onboarding and AvePoint’s cloud management tools to follow.
