Sysmex Secures Microsoft® SharePoint® Online and Office 365 Environment, Reduces IT Burden with AvePoint Online Services

Sysmex, a Kobe-based healthcare company serving over 190 countries and thousands of users, faced the end-of-support for SharePoint 2007 and needed to migrate to Office 365 — enabling secure internal and external collaboration while meeting strict privacy regulations. Key challenges included enabling mobile, 24/7 access, enforcing tight security for external sharing, achieving granular backup and recovery beyond native capabilities, and reducing repetitive administrative burden on IT.

Sysmex implemented AvePoint Online Services (AOS) and Governance Automation Online (GAO) on Azure to automate site provisioning, manage external invitations and permissions, perform granular backup/restore, and produce audit-ready exports. The result was faster IT operations, automated routine governance tasks, secure external collaboration, improved compliance readiness, and a marked reduction in administration workload.
