Spitäler Frutigen Meiringen Interlaken (fmi) AG is a public regional hospital group in Unterseen, Switzerland, supporting about 1,200 users. After adopting SharePoint 2013 (and Nintex workflows) to replace shared drives, the IT team faced repetitive, error-prone site creation and a need to preserve metadata and enable granular recovery for roughly 85 GB of content and 240,000 list items.

Using AvePoint’s DocAve (Content Manager and Backup & Restore), the team could copy, restructure and restore SharePoint sites and items with full fidelity—including Nintex workflows—via simple wizards. The change cut site-creation time from 45 to 15 minutes, saved about 50 hours to deploy 200 sites, eliminated many manual errors, and provided fast, item-level restores that improved productivity and confidence in SharePoint management.
