San Francisco Federal Credit Union, a not-for-profit with about 250 users, needed to move from on-premises SharePoint 2013 to Office 365 – SharePoint Online while minimizing cost, maintenance and user disruption. IT required granular discovery to decide what to move, needed to preserve metadata and customizations, and wanted a migration approach that wouldn’t interrupt daily work.
Using AvePoint’s Discovery Tool for pre-migration analysis and DocAve Migrator for the move, the credit union selectively migrated only needed content (including workflows and metadata), scheduled automatic after-hours and incremental sync jobs to avoid performance impact and data loss, and restructured sites as needed. The project completed the bulk migration quickly with full fidelity, benefited from responsive AvePoint support, and finished about two months faster than it would have without DocAve.
