NEC Networks & System Integration Corporation, a Japanese telecommunications and ICT services provider, needed to replace 100+ inconsistent file servers with an easy-to-use information-sharing platform for about 8,000 users while enforcing IT governance, managing storage, and reducing human error during site provisioning and organizational changes.

Working with AvePoint, NEC customized the SharePoint UI and deployed the DocAve suite (including Governance Automation, Administrator, Archiver, Backup & Restore, Content Manager, Report Center, and Storage Manager). The solution simplified adoption, automated user requests and site provisioning, enforced governance rules, enabled department-level storage reporting for better cost control, and sped up IT service delivery with fewer support inquiries.
