LL Global, parent company of LIMRA and LOMA and a trade association serving more than 1,200 life insurance and financial services members, needed to move its 450‑user environment off SharePoint 2007 and onto SharePoint 2016. With limited internal SharePoint expertise and a conservative user base, IT required a migration that preserved all legacy content and metadata, maintained a familiar look and feel, and minimized disruption to business processes.

They engaged AvePoint Client Services and DocAve Migrator for a direct Migration‑as‑a‑Service of 200 GB from SharePoint 2007 to 2016 (no interim upgrades), splitting content into three databases and scheduling work to avoid user impact.
