Corbion Simplifies Management of Cloud-based Microsoft® SharePoint® 2013 Environment for 2,000 Users with DocAve®

Corbion, a global leader in lactic acid and related products, relied on SharePoint for collaboration across 2,000 users in 35 countries. After a 2013 merger left the company with two oversized site collections (700 GB and 800 GB), Corbion needed to migrate and restructure its SharePoint environment to meet Microsoft guidelines, preserve all metadata and permissions, and simplify permissions management and reporting—requirements beyond native SharePoint capabilities.

Corbion deployed AvePoint’s DocAve suite (Migrator, Administrator, Report Center, Content Manager) to architect 25 site collections and migrate its 3 TB environment—completing the migration in four months—while preserving metadata and permissions. Moving to SharePoint 2013 in Azure removed hardware constraints and enabled scalability; DocAve automated policy enforcement, bulk permission changes, and monthly sensitive-site reporting, streamlining administration and governance for the global user base.
