Christian Church Homes (CCH) is a not-for-profit that manages affordable senior housing across 59 communities. After migrating 400 GB of critical data to Office 365 to reduce on-premises overhead, IT leaders found Exchange Online’s native tools lacked item-level recovery and SharePoint Online’s permissions management was cumbersome for about 350 users, leaving gaps in retention control and restore flexibility.

CCH implemented AvePoint’s DocAve Online, an Azure-hosted SaaS, to automate weekly full and daily incremental backups to Azure, enable granular item-level restores, and set custom retention policies. The solution simplified permissions administration, provided backup notifications, and eliminated the need for an on-site disaster recovery facility—saving roughly $6,000 annually—while giving IT greater control and confidence in data protection.
