Charlotte County Government, a Florida public-sector organization serving roughly 150,000 residents and 1,100 employees, relied on Microsoft SharePoint for business process automation and its public website. Facing a move from SharePoint 2010 to a hybrid SharePoint 2013 environment and wanting to host its public site in the cloud for improved availability, the county needed expert help to ensure a smooth, low‑impact migration and stronger governance for sensitive data.
AvePoint Client Services performed a health check, designed and built the hybrid environment, and used DocAve Migrator to move 300 GB of content—shifting the public site to a cloud host when Office 365 public sites were deprecated. The solution enabled event‑driven one‑way replication to the cloud, item‑level backup and fast recovery, and plans for DocAve Governance Automation and Compliance Guardian to automate provisioning and monitor sensitive content—reducing migration effort, simplifying management, and minimizing downtime.
