Marginalen Bank, a Swedish financial institution, needed to migrate 300,000 customers from its inflexible legacy core banking system to a flexible, scalable, cloud-native solution without any service disruption. The bank partnered with vendor Avenga to achieve this complex transition, which involved moving to the Mambu platform while integrating with numerous external systems.

Avenga designed and executed a phased, no-downtime migration strategy. Their solution included building a custom data migration engine, creating seamless integrations with fourteen systems, and developing a new cloud-native Operational Data Store. As a result, Marginalen Bank successfully went live on the new Mambu platform within 16 months, launched new products faster, and eliminated manual reporting processes, all while experiencing zero customer downtime.
